With growing global environmental, social and economic challenges, it is more important than ever to reconcile ecology, social responsibility and economics. As an internationally operating logistics company, we also bear a great deal of responsibility. Responsible business with a focus on sustainable development has always been a maxim of the Geis business family. We see it primarily as a continuous process of improvement and efficiency enhancement - with the aim of continuously developing our services, reducing our consumption of natural resources and expanding our trusting relationship with employees, customers and partners. A sustainable value orientation with regard to customer satisfaction, professionalism, profitability, environmental awareness and integrity are the cornerstones of the Geis.
Hans-Georg Geis and Wolfgang Geis, Managing Directors of the Geis Group
Recognising that economic goals can only be achieved in the long term by being extremely environmentally friendly, the environmentally friendly use of raw materials has always been an important part of Geis' corporate policy. Since 2005, we have operated a comprehensive environmental management system within the company - certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental standard. We have also been involved in the Bavarian Environmental Pact since 2006 and are active in the Hessian Environmental Association and the Lower Franconian Environmental Support Group.
For our daily work, this means, for example, using low-emission vehicles, identifying energy-saving potential in all areas and greening the entire supply chain.
We have therefore combined our actions into a sustainability strategy and set ourselves an ambitious target: MissionZero, a milestone in our sustainable transformation plan. As part of this mission, we want to become climate-neutral across the Group by 2040.
"Clean transport and clean logistics - that's what we want to make happen at the Geis Group," say Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis, Managing Directors. "Our goal is to become a climate-neutral company in Scope 1 and 2 by 2040. We already want to save 65% of CO2 by 2030."

A robust sustainability strategy is complex. That's why we have recorded all the details and supporting evidence in detail in our sustainability report. This is available for download.
