Competition authorities approve majority takeover of Quehenberger by Geis
The competition authorities have approved the takeover of 66% of Quehenberger Logistics by Geis with retroactive effect from 1 January 2023. This means that Geis is now officially the majority owner of the Augustin Quehenberger Group and has been given the green light to work with its new colleagues.
This is the largest acquisition in the company's history. The entire group has now grown to 10,000 employees at almost 200 locations in 13 countries and has a turnover of around 2 billion euros. With the acquisition, Geis is strengthening its presence mainly in Central and Southeastern Europe and opening up further opportunities for growth also in sectors that were previously outside its focus.
The new group aims to expand modern, sustainable and efficient logistics solutions throughout the supply chain.
